28 August, Thursday: India's greatest cinematic saga returns in great style. According to Koimoi, director S.S. Rajamouli has re-cut his two-part blockbuster into one re-edited film titled Baahubali: The Epic. The combined movie, with remastered image and sound, releases worldwide on October 31, 2025, for fans to re-watch the tale on large screens.

Trimmed runtime but retains the magic

According to Koimoi reports, although Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017) collectively clocked in excess of five hours, the re-edited version is chopped down to about four hours. Certain scenes, like the "Kannaa Nidurinchara" song between Anushka Shetty's Devasena and romantic interactions between Prabhas' Shivudu and Tamannaah Bhatia's Avanthika, have been deleted from this movie. However, Rajamouli has hinted at introducing new unseen moments too to catch the audience off guard.

Teaser generating huge fan anticipation

The producers released the official teaser online, which, according to Times of India, provided glimpses of Prabhas as Amarendra Baahubali and Rana Daggubati as Bhallaladeva. The teaser had the tagline: "You watched it, you loved it. Now, watch it like never before." Rajamouli also posted on social media that this epic version of the movie coincides with the 10th anniversary of the franchise and celebrates the journey that transformed Baahubali into a cultural phenomenon. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DN0KKlbwjVP/?igsh=MXBtMWpoYXdzNWMyMA==

According to Times of India, not only did the franchise shatter box office records as the second installment was more than ₹1,788 crore worldwide, but also left with such cultural bequests as the now-mythic question, "Katappa ne Baahubali ko kyun maara?"

With Baahubali: The Epic, Rajamouli wishes to re-release his magnum opus not just to Indian audiences and worldwide fans but to show everyone once more that Baahubali is not just a movie, it's an emotion. Here’s the teaser: https://youtu.be/mJML5skKR_o?si=vQGR35PrFFy8CjN7
