1 September, Monday: Kalki 2898 AD part 2 is expected to get into the pre-production stage, and the whole film production could take 3 years. Makers are anticipating the release around 2027 onwards.
According to a report by 123 Telugu, Nag Ashwin was recently spotted on a podcast, where he shared an update about the Kalki 2898 AD sequel. As the scale and cast are massive, the film might take more time to materialize.
Nag Ashwin said, “The actors have to come together. Some of the pre-visualized sequences and action sequences are much bigger. So it will take some time. I don’t have an exact answer. Everyone is busy. Hopefully, in another 2 or 3 years, that’s what I think.”
According to the reports of Pinkvilla, Nag Ashwin was recently spotted at the Yevade Subramanyam re-release, which starred Nani, where He was questioned about Prabhas' limited appearance in the first film. In response, Ashwin clarified that the first section was primarily about world-building and laying out the main plot points. Later, he assured fans that Prabhas will have more significant screen time and indicated that the sequel would concentrate more on Karna and Ashwatthama.
