The journey of Karan Johar and Dharma Productions has resonated with cinematic excellence over the past four years. The films had been excellent in storytelling, cinematography, and all other aspects.

The National Awards journey began with a Special Jury Award for “Shershaah”. The streak was followed by the wins for “Brahmastra: Part One Shiva” and “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani”. Karan Johar and his team have been very consistent in delivering award-winning performances.

Four-year award timeline

The National Award story began in 2021 when “Shershaah,” an autobiographical-based war drama which was produced by Dharma, won the Special Jury Award. It earned this great honour because of its impact and storytelling.

Dharma lifted the Best VFX Award for the fantasy movie “Brahmastra”. The National award-winning film showed its technical brilliance. Dharma’s consistency continued in 2023 as “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani” was given the award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment at the 71st National Film Awards.

It was Johar’s third National Award in three years and the fourth overall for Dharma Productions. The award-winning spell is seen with great gratitude and emotion by Johar. Karan Johar has always shared how much these awards meant to him and how it is a part of a deeply personal journey.

The lead actors like Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt should also be given the due credit for their performances, and the studio’s team spirit is the main factor behind this great feat.
