Jio Hotstar is capitalizing on the film's buzz with a rapid digital release, using multi-language dubs and subtitles in order to tap into a very diverse audience base. This release includes several deleted scenes, adding depth to characters played by Manchu Manoj and Ritika Nayak. As OTTplay reports, these additions clarify the film’s nine-scripture mythology, enhancing its cultural resonance.

The story behind the blockbuster

The one thing Mirai achieves is a potent blend of Hindu mythology and modern VFX. This story of a superyodha, which is directed by Karthik Gattamneni, has earned over Rs 50 crore globally on its opening weekend.

In Mirai (2025), orphaned pickpocket Vedha, played by Teja Sajja, discovers his destiny of divine kind to protect Emperor Ashoka's nine sacred scriptures. Wielding a mystical staff, Mirai, Vedha battle cosmic forces in what is a thrilling merger of Hindu mythology, superhero action, and epic visuals.

As Deccan Chronicle noted, its accessible fusion of folklore and spectacle gives it a distinct edge over Western superhero narratives.

The film’s four-week theatre run built a loyal fanbase, but some felt its pacing left questions unanswered. The OTT version aims to address this, offering a richer experience for both new viewers and returning fans.

When are where to watch?

Starting 10th October 2025, fans will be able to stream the Telugu blockbuster Mirai specially on Jio Hotstar. As per the Economic Times, this move is complete with new deleted scenes and multi-language support-caters directly to India's booming appetite for regional superhero narratives.

This quick turnaround move mirrors the industry's ongoing trend of shrinking theatrical windows for the purpose of capturing the digital audience. A Sacnilk report confirms the inclusion of English subtitles, making "Mirai" a potential global draw for South Indian cinema.

Fan fervor and star power

Teja Sajja, riding high from "Hanu-Man," anchors the film with Shriya Saran and a Satyadev cameo, adding emotional heft. Director Gattamneni called it a “love letter to our epics,” a sentiment echoed online. An X post from 123telugu asked, "Mirai OTT Release: Will the Deleted Scenes Be Included?", reflecting fans’ curiosity and the community spirit streaming fosters.

With its digital debut on October 10, Mirai is poised to extend its heroic journey, blending ancient valor with digital accessibility, ready to spark conversations across living rooms.
