30 August, Saturday: In the film, Param Sundari tells the story of Param Sachdev (Sidharth Malhotra), a Delhi brat from a wealthy family who started a dating app called Soulmates Dot. He currently wants his businessman father (Sanjay Kapoor) to invest in his dating app, but before he does, his father puts Param in a difficult situation where he must find his own soulmate within a month to secure the funding. He and Thekkepattu Sundari Damodaram Pilai (Janhvi Kapoor), a disciplined and diligent woman from Kerala's Nangiarkulangara, are matched by the app. Thus, Param travels to Kerala with his friend Juggy (played by Manjot Singh) and stays at a homestay where Sundari runs a business without her being aware of the stay's purpose. The result is an unexpected journey where the girl and the free-spirited North Indian boy fall in love. However, when Sundari discovers Param's true motivation in reach, the odds are against him.
Review of the film
Composed by Sachin-Jigar, the soundtrack is undoubtedly one of the movie's strongest points. Songs like Pardesiya became hits right away, and the soundtrack received a lot of praise. Special recognition must also be given to the cinematography, which beautifully depicts the natural splendor of God's own land. This movie serves as a virtual tour guide to Kerala's timeless landmarks. Sidharth Malhotra portrays the endearing romantic star that he is famous for, but critics have noted that he is not bringing anything fresh to the table. Jahnvi Kapoor has received enough praise for attempting something different instead. The biggest criticism directed at Param Sundari is that there isn't any chemistry between the two main characters. Her Malayali accent further demonstrated her dedication to the role. Even though the majority of the characters are attractive and have a strong on-screen presence, they do not receive the recognition they deserve. Param Sundari is a movie that succeeds in this regard.
Notably, as per the box office collection, the film had a slow opening day but showed clear improvement in weekend, crossing 16.25 crore rupees.
