Amazon hits 20-billion-dollar export milestone from India, sets bigger target for 2030

Amazon has claimed to have reached a major milestone in exports from India through e-commerce. The company reported that between 2015 and 2025, goods worth 20 billion US dollars worth goods were exported from India to other countries through its flagship program, Amazon Global Selling.

Now, Amazon aims to increase this number to 80 billion dollars by 2030. The company said that many small and medium-sized businesses in India are using its platform to export their products abroad, which has helped boost overall exports.

In 2024, Kolkata ranked 20th among the top 50 Indian cities in terms of exports under Amazon Global Selling. Over the past 10 years, categories like health and personal care, beauty products, toys, home décor, clothing, and furniture have grown the most.

Indian products were sold the most in countries like the US, UK, Germany, Canada, UAE, France, Italy, Spain, and Saudi Arabia in 2024.

Srinidhi Kalvapudi, Head of Amazon Global Selling India, said, “Since 2015, we have helped India’s exports reach 20 billion dollars, earlier than expected. Our next goal is 80 billion dollars by 2030, which we plan to achieve through innovation, capacity building, and partnerships.”
