Branches in several states are closed today to celebrate different festivals, including Govardhan Pooja, Bali Pratipada, and Samavat New Year Day.
As the main Diwali festival comes to an end, several states are getting prepared for their upcoming regional festivals. Likely, Govardhan Pooja is widely celebrated in North India, Bali Pratipada or Balipadyami is celebrated in many western and southern states. On this day, Gujarat marks the beginning of their New Year (Bestu Varas).
