Asian Paints share price movement: New competitors’ entry in the market

Asian Paints faced some new competition at the beginning of 2025 with the entry of major players like Aditya Birla’s “Birla Opus”, along with aggressive pricing, presenting as a key pressure point on the stock price.

The company is expected to expand its commercial production at its white cement facility in UAE (October 2025), which can have a positive impact on the investor’s sentiment and stock price.

Asian Paints growth rises after Q1, its profit after tax (PAT) rises 59 percent Quarter-on-Quarter (QoQ) to rupees 1,100 crore.

However, the consolidated net profit declines by 6 percent in the June 2025 quarter.

Looking at the recent trend, it shows that the stock has shown volatility, with a significant decline around 20-22 percent (as of mid-October 2025), However some recent gains were also noticed, leading up to the current date.
