The Adani Group will invest Rs 1.5 lakh crore in Gujarat's Kutch region over the next five years. This shows its long-term commitment to the state, according to Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports and SEZ Limited.
Making this announcement at an event in Rajkot, he stated that these investments highlight India's message to the world that economic growth, climate responsibility and energy security can progress together, Karan Adani stated.

Investment details
Karan Adani informed that a majority of the investment will be for Kutch. Here, the group plans the world's largest renewable energy park at Khavda. He said that the project would be completed by 2030 with a planned capacity of 37 GW.
At India's largest commercial port in Mundra, he said that the group plans to double the capacity in 10 years' time with an aim to strengthen it as an integrated multimodal logistics gateway.
'Foundation of journey'
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also present during the event where Karan Adani during his speech highlighted that Gujarat is not just a state for the Adani Group to invest in but the foundation of their journey.
"Our Chairman, Gautam Adani, has always believed that the growth of our group must be inseparable from the growth of the nation," Karan Adani stated.
He asserted that their long-term commitment "remains anchored" in Gujarat and explained the way the state showed how easy it was to do business long before it became part of national policy language.
Lauds Prime Minister
Lauding and appreciating Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Karan Adani said that under his leadership, India had undergone a fundamental transformation "not just in scale, but in our mindset".

He expressed admiration for Prime Minister Modi's leadership and said that it is evident in the way he has transformed India into a global leader through reforming governance and infrastructure.
According to him, under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, India is no longer just focused on economic growth; rather, the country is now looking to become a global leader and set the standards for the future of the world. Karan believes that Gujarat is proof of the effectiveness of Prime Minister Modi's vision, where execution equals vision and ambition equals results.
