Along with publishing financial reports for the second quarter of the current fiscal year, multiple companies in the country have announced dividends or profit-sharing for shareholders. Various companies from multiple sectors, including information technology and banks, have announced dividend payments. See which companies will pay dividends to shareholders on which days this week.

To receive dividends from any company, you must be a shareholder of that company. You will receive dividends only if you have purchased shares by the ex-dividend date.

For example, suppose a company sets November 10 as the dividend payment date. For this, it sets the record date as November 6. Generally, the ex-dividend date is 24 to 48 hours before the record date. That means you will receive the dividend on November 10 only if you have purchased or bought shares by that date.
