Regular trading remains closed in the stock market on Diwali day. But on this day, a special trading session is held at the country's two stock exchanges. This special trading lasts for just 1 hour, which is known as Muhurat trading. On this special day, enthusiasm for trading reaches its peak among a section of investors. How much profit have investors made by trading during this time in the last few years? Take a look at the trend of the last 10 years.

Muhurat trading for 2025 will be held on Tuesday, October 21. Although this trading is held in the evening every year, this year's Muhurat trading will be held in the afternoon. From 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM. However, the market will open at 1:30 PM for Muhurat trading. On the other hand, market closing will be at 3:05 PM.

The Muhurat trading trend of the last 10 years is giving a positive message to investors. In the last 10 years, the Nifty50, the main index of the National Stock Exchange, has declined only twice. In the remaining years, this index has increased significantly. Among these, Nifty last declined in 2017. Since 2018, this benchmark index has been rising continuously in Muhurat trading. Among these, the highest increase was in 2022. That year, Nifty increased by 0.87 percent. The country's share market has been buoyant even before Muhurat trading. Nifty50 has increased in the last four trading sessions. In the last three trading sessions of the past week, Nifty50 has increased by 2.2 percent or 563 points. On Monday, around 12:45 PM, the National Stock Exchange's main index increased by 0.63 percent or 161 points.
