The controversy surrounding the India-Pakistan match in the Asia Cup seems unending. The Indian camp has filed complaints against Haris Rauf and Shaheen Shah Afridi. Both the cricketers made controversial celebrations and provocative gestures during the Super Four match. Consequently, India has decided to take stern action. However, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav might also find himself in trouble. The Pakistan cricket team had lodged a complaint against him as well. The ICC has now confirmed that they have accepted Pakistan's complaint. Suryakumar Yadav may even be summoned for a hearing. Reports suggest that the ICC has also sent an email to the Indian cricket team on this matter.

After India's victory against Pakistan in the group stage match, Suryakumar Yadav had said, "I want to stand by the families of those killed in the Pahalgam attack. I dedicate this victory to the Indian armed forces." But that's not all. Regarding not shaking hands at the post-match press meet, he stated that the BCCI and the Indian government's policies were aligned. The Indian team had come solely to play the match. He clarified their stance on not showing courtesy.

Pakistan couldn't accept this incident. They filed a complaint against Suryakumar on the grounds of bringing politics into the sports arena and violating ICC's code of conduct.

Multiple reports reveal that match referee Richie Richardson has stated he is investigating Pakistan's complaint. Based on all video footage and evidence, it has been found that Suryakumar's comments have damaged the spirit of the game.

In the email sent to India, Richardson writes, "The ICC has sent me two reports regarding the comments made by your captain Suryakumar Yadav. After reading all the reports, I have decided that we will accept the complaint against Suryakumar."

Richardson has further informed that Suryakumar Yadav will be given an opportunity to acknowledge this mistake. Otherwise, he will have to appear for a hearing. The ICC match referee and one representative each from BCCI and PCB will be present there.
