The Women's ODI World Cup is set to begin on September 30. The opening match pits India against Sri Lanka. Ahead of this, Jemimah Rodrigues is palpably excited. One of Team India's pivotal figures, Jemimah confesses, "I'm both exhilarated and nervous at the same time."

Jemimah hasn't shied away from elucidating her sentiments. She further said "A World Cup invariably brings pressure. However, the crux lies in how one harnesses it. When the cacophony from the stands is in our favor, when they're vociferously supporting us, it galvanizes us. We transmute that pressure into a catalyst for our performance. It amplifies our self-assurance."

Nevertheless, she astutely acknowledges the undeniable fervor surrounding the India-Pakistan encounter.

She articulates, "How does one disregard the discourse and excitement enveloping an India-Pakistan match? It's an inescapable reality. Yet, the moment we step onto the pitch, we become impervious to everything save the resonance of bat meeting ball. At that juncture, securing victory for the nation emerges as the sole objective for our Team India."

Concurrently, she asserts, "Our collective gaze is now fixated on a singular goal. Hoisting the World Cup trophy on November 2nd. No other consideration currently permeates our consciousness."
