Team India suffered a major setback ahead of the Women's ODI World Cup. Arundhati Reddy was sidelined after sustaining an injury during a warm-up match against England. Her injury was so severe that she was unable to stand and had to be wheeled off the field. India is set to play their first World Cup match against Sri Lanka on September 30th. Arundhati's availability before then is now in question.

However, she lost her balance while trying to secure the catch and fell to the ground. Arundhati was unable to stand up after this. The physio examined her, but despite receiving initial treatment, she couldn't recover. She was subsequently removed from the field via wheelchair.
