Taskin Ahmed became only the third Bangladeshi cricketer to reach 100 wickets in T20 internationals, completing this historic record during the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4s match against Pakistan in Dubai. In just the third ball of the game, Taskin took out Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan, marking his 100th T20I wicket in his 82nd appearance for Bangladesh. Taskin, who is renowned for his pace and bounce, has been a reliable performer for Bangladesh in the shortest format, frequently making significant breakthroughs during the powerplay.

As the only other bowlers from Bangladesh to achieve this feat, he joins Mustafizur Rahman and Shakib Al Hasan in exclusive company. Due to Taskin's history of injuries and comebacks, both teammates and supporters will find this milestone even more meaningful. This record solidifies his status as one of Bangladesh's top fast bowlers, and his success has been crucial to the country's increasing competitiveness in T20Is. Taskin will now want to go one step further and become Bangladesh's highest wicket-taker in T20Is, adding further milestones to an already remarkable career, even though he still has a few years of cricket left.

The list that follows is the current ranking of Bangladeshi bowlers' most T20I wickets:

Mustafizur Rahman: 119 games, best 6/10, 150 wickets

Shakib Al Hasan: best 5/20, 129 matches, 149 wickets

Taskin Ahmed: 82 games, best 4/16, 100 wickets*

Taskin's career has been distinguished by perseverance and a flair for critical breakthroughs, cementing his role in creating Bangladesh's modern limited-overs bowling. His achievement builds on a long history of good bowling depth, with numerous players now ranking among the world's top T20I performers.
