The School Service Commission (SSC) provided the opportunity to challenge the 'model answer key' for recruitment examinations for the first time this year. Examinations were held in 35 subjects for classes XI-XII. For classes IX-X, the number of subjects was 11. Combining both levels, 92,000 job aspirants have challenged the 'model answer key' or the 'model answer sheet' in the teacher recruitment examination.
According to SSC sources, challenges have been submitted — 1,000 in some subjects like Bengali and English, and 1,800 in some other subjects. Based on the candidates' challenges, the verification work by experts began on Monday. There are also subjects where answers to a maximum of seven questions have been challenged.
As per reports, job aspirants have challenged all 11 subjects of classes IX-X and 33 subjects of classes XI-XII. The final answer key will be published in early November. Results will be announced thereafter.
An official from Bikash Bhavan informed that candidates were asked to apply with a fee of ₹500 and two references to challenge the 'model answer key'. If the candidates' applications are correct, they will get that money refunded.
