30th August, Satday: This year, the students at The National Institute of Technology, Rourkela has bagged 1274 placement offers during the 2024-25 NIT Rourkela Placement drive. A staggering number of around 373 head-hunters took part in this year’s placement drive, of which nearly half were first-time attenders.
This year’s placement drive recorded 509 six-month internships with the possibility to convert into Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) alongside the 1200+ job offers.
Along with others, the major job profiles that were offered to the participants were Software Engineer, Software Development Engineer, Hardware Engineer, Graduate Trainee Engineer, Data Analyst, and Business Analyst.
Highest CTC offered at NIT Rourkela Placement drive 2025
According to the official statement of the institution the highest CTC that has been recorded this year is ₹62.44 Lakh Per Annum (LPA) while their top of the line B. Tech program has brought home an average CTC of 14.10 LPA, followed by their M.Tech Programme, averaging at 13.48 LPA. For an internship, the highest offer the university has received this year is Rs 1.26 Lakh Per Month (LPM). An annual package of 30 LPA was offered to more than 85 students.

Major recruiters participating this drive were key players of the IT sector, manufacturing, electronics, education besides the fortune 500 companies. The drive has seen a huge number of recruitments from Google, AMD, Qualcomm, Wells Fargo, JSW, Amazon, ExxonMobil, DE Shaw & Co, Accenture, Barclays, Deloitte, MathWorks, ITC, Texas Instruments, American Express, HP, Bharat Petroleum, and several others
