The Hindi film industry came together in grief on Monday evening as family, friends, and several Bollywood personalities attended the prayer meet of Zarine Khan, wife of veteran actor and filmmaker Sanjay Khan, who passed away on November 7 at the age of 81.
Family and friends remember Zarine’s grace
The prayer meet, held in Mumbai, saw the Khan family come together to remember the matriarch known for her warmth, elegance, and quiet strength. Sanjay Khan arrived with his daughters Sussanne Khan, Simone Arora, Farah Ali Khan, and son Zayed Khan to pay tribute to the late actress and philanthropist.

Hrithik Roshan, Sussanne’s former husband, was among the first to arrive at the venue. Veteran actor Jeetendra, actress Rani Mukerji, Fardeen Khan, and Shweta Bachchan were also seen offering condolences to the bereaved family. Actors Chunky Panday, Ridhi Dogra were present as well, according to an ANI report.
Zarine Khan, who was married to Sanjay Khan for nearly six decades, was remembered by many as the pillar of the Khan household, known for her grace, compassion, and enduring faith.
Sussanne Khan’s heartfelt farewell
A day after her mother’s demise, Sussanne Khan took to Instagram to pen an emotional tribute, calling Zarine her “bestest friend, God, and life.” In her message, Sussanne wrote about her mother’s “epitome of grace and love,” adding that she would continue to guide her family as a “light from above.”

Zarine and Sanjay Khan had celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary in April this year, a testament to a lifelong partnership built on love and resilience.
