No work beyond eight hours. Motherhood is the biggest priority in life. This year, controversy arose around Deepika's comments. Now she is in the headlines again. Recently, the actress was dropped from two big films, 'Spirit' and 'Kalki 2898 AD'. No one accepted her demand for eight-hour shifts. However, Deepika remained silent amid various discussions. Now the actress has broken her silence. In an interview, she said that many male actors have been working eight-hour shifts for years, but no controversy has ever arisen in their case. This rule applies only to women.

Deepika revealed that this demand has been ongoing in Bollywood for years. In her words, "I don't want to name anyone or make it a big issue, but this has been happening in the film industry for years. Many don't work on weekends. No one objects at that time. When a girl says it, all the objections arise." Deepika is currently busy shooting for the film 'King' with Shah Rukh Khan.

Deepika's daughter Dua has recently turned one. Regarding being dropped from 'Spirit', Deepika said that Sandeep Reddy Vanga had made various negative comments about her at that time, including calling her unprofessional. On this matter, Deepika's statement was, "Let whoever say whatever they can. Actually, my upbringing never taught me to speak in such manner. I know how to keep myself away from the surrounding noise." However, she also mentioned that she is thoroughly enjoying motherhood at this moment.
