Raghav Juyal recalls the response that Aryan Khan and SRK gave to Samay Raina's cruise T-shirt. In a lighthearted reference to Aryan Khan's previous controversy, comedian Samay Raina's clever "Say No To Cruise" T-shirt attracted attention during Aryan Khan's directing debut, Bads of Bollywood premiere.
According to actor Raghav Juyal, Shah Rukh and Aryan laughed with everyone at the event and accepted the joke in a lighthearted manner.
What happened?
Stand-up comedian Samay Raina made quite the statement at the premiere of Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, 'The Ba***ds of Bollywood', when he showed up wearing a black T-shirt that read, “Say No To Cruise.”
This was followed by a very subtle reference to Aryan’s 2021 alleged cruise-drug case, and his pictures quickly went viral, sparking a huge debate and wave of reactions online. Now, actor Raghav Juyal has opened up about how Shah Rukh and Aryan themselves reacted to Samay’s bold fashion choice.
Recalling the moment on Ranveer Allahabadia’s podcast, Raghav said, “Yeh T-shirt pehen ke waha par pohucha hua hai. Aur log has rahe hai, Aryan has raha hai, sab has rahe hai. Woh kar sakta hai, woh toh aisa hi hai na. Hum nahi kar sakte na. Pure party me aise hi ghum raha tha, T-shirt dikha dikha ke, sabko” (He showed up there wearing that T-shirt, and everyone is laughing! Aryan’s laughing, the crowd’s laughing, the whole place is cracking up. But of course, he can pull it off; that’s just the kind of person he is. We couldn’t do that even if we tried. He was roaming around the entire party flaunting that T-shirt proudly, showing it off to everyone).”
Raghav further shared how Shah Rukh Khan took it sportingly too, saying, “Sir ke liye toh sabhi bachche hai na yaar, sir treats everyone like a beta (You know, for Sir, everyone’s like his own kid. He treats them all like his son).”
What is Aryan’s 2021 alleged cruise-drug case?
The Narcotics Control Bureau arrested Aryan Khan in October 2021 following a raid on a Cordelia cruise ship headed for Goa. For weeks, the high-profile case took center stage in the media before Aryan was released on bail and subsequently given a clean sheet by the agency.
