King returns as 'King': SRK releases title reveal amid birthday celebrations

On his 60th birthday, Shah Rukh Khan dropped the first look of King, revealing a fierce new avatar in Siddharth Anand’s 2026 action thriller and fans can’t keep calm.

Shah Rukh Khan made his 60th birthday unforgettable by dropping the first look and trailer tease of his upcoming action thriller, King. The superstar, known for reinventing himself with every role, stunned fans with a rugged, silver-fox avatar- complete with tattoos, shades, and that unmistakable swagger.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, King promises to be an adrenaline-packed ride and is set to release in 2026. The teaser opens with SRK’s intense monologue - “Kitne khoon kiye yaad nahi... Darr nahi, dehshat hoon. It’s showtime,” instantly setting the internet ablaze.

SRK’s new era begins: Rougher, bolder, deadlier

Fans flooded social media with excitement. “Abki Baar Jawan Ka Record Tutega,” wrote one user, while another declared, “He didn’t announce a title, he announced a legacy.” The trailer trend took over X within minutes of release, with fans across India and abroad hailing it as SRK’s most powerful transformation yet.

Director Siddharth Anand confirmed the reveal on Instagram, writing, “Sau deshon mein badnaam, duniya ne diya sirf ek hi naam - King. It’s Showtime!”

The ensemble cast includes Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi, Saurabh Shukla, Jackie Shroff, Abhishek Bachchan, and Raghav Juyal, with cameo appearances by Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, and Anil Kapoor.

Adding to the celebrations, SRK is preparing for a special fan meet in Bandra for thousands of admirers who gathered outside his residence. The event is reportedly scheduled for 4:00 PM at Balgandharva Rangmandir and it will mark the start of what fans are calling “The King Era”, a new chapter for Bollywood’s biggest star.
