The Grand, Vasant Kunj witnessed the grand finale of Lakmé Fashion Week 2025 which was full of glamour and fine craftsmanship. On the ramp, celebrities, designers and influencers won hearts by showcasing India's rich cultural legacy in a modern way.
"Saiyaara" actress Aneet Padda's spectacular appearance for Tarun Tahiliani was the night's high point. Padda posed in a pastel-colored gown that matched her skin tone and was cut to resemble a draped saree. The outfit included a heavily embroidered silver corset and shimmering silver jewels along the outer edges. A delicate yet striking look was completed by her makeup, which included shimmering smoky eyes, glossy lips, and soft pink blush. Tahiliani’s ‘Bejeweled’ collection blended flowing chiffons and satins with intricate jewelwork in emerald, ruby, amethyst and powder pink offering a modern take on ornate Indian craftsmanship. Layered jackets, scarves and shawls lent depth and movement to create a blend of tradition and fashion.
Menswear spotlight: Tasva’s heritage-inspired festive collection
The menswear segment also showcased Tasva, which is the occasion and wedding wear brand by Tahiliani and ABFRL. They offered a celebratory collection that rooted in comfort, elegance, and heritage. Luxe fabrics such as silk blends, jacquards, and viscose substitutes were paired with elaborate zardozi, mirrorwork, appliqués, and pearls. The color palette varied from intense colors to muted colors such as royal jade, sparkling gold, ivory, taupe, and subtle salmon. Stars Ayush Mehra, chefs Ranveer Brar and Suvir Saran, and social media personalities Mohak Narang, Tarun Kinra, Maggi, and Sukriti lent vibrancy to the catwalk.
Mrunal Thakur, Tabu and Vaani Kapoor steal the limelight
Mrunal Thakur, who wore a sleek black skirt and a sculpted golden bodice in Pankaj & Nidhi's Araquis collection, was another notable showstopper. She exuded warrior-like strength. In an emerald, green anarkali with elaborate Jadau work, Tabu embodied bridal charm as she walked for Itrh's Noor collection. Vaani Kapoor turned heads in Mahima Mahajan’s FANAH Resort lehenga, blending pastel florals with structural elegance inspired by the Sufi concept of fanā.
From cosmic patterns to modern festive attire, Shalini Passi, Vishal Jethwa, Sahher Bambba, Diana Penty, Mandira Bedi and Aditi Rao Hydari all brought their designers' visions to the runway.
