Actor Harshvardhan Rane has made a heartfelt plea to his fans, asking them to stop comparing his performance in Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat with Ahaan Panday’s role in Saiyaara. The actor took to Instagram on Thursday to address the growing online debate that has pitted the two films and their leading men against each other.

Rane, who plays the lead in Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, found himself trending on social media after several posts claimed that his on-screen persona “outshone” Ahaan Panday’s Krish Kapoor from Saiyaara. One viral post even declared that “the internet has chosen the Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat hero over Saiyaara’s male lead.”

'Guys I beg, please stop,' says Harshvardhan

Responding to the comparisons, Rane shared the viral post on his Instagram Story with a humble message: “Guys I beg you, please stop!” accompanied by folded hands emojis. He also commented on the original post, asking fans to avoid such comparisons and praising Ahaan instead.

“Guys pls stop, y r u even comparing two people and two movie characters? Ahaan is very sincere and talented. Please stop. I love his work and am a fan of his style,” Rane wrote.

This isn’t the first time Rane has stepped in to calm the online chatter. Earlier this week, he reacted to a fan reel that claimed his character was “perfect,” unlike Ahaan’s Krish Kapoor, who was described as a “womaniser.” Rane responded with charm, writing, “Ma’am, aapki kismat mein bhi ek aisa ladka likha hai (Ma’am, a guy like that is written in your destiny too).”
