Director Aditya Dhar’s upcoming action-thriller Dhurandhar, featuring a powerhouse cast of Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Akshaye Khanna, is all set to hit theatres on December 5, 2025. The movie is produced by Aditya Dhar, Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar under Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the film has built major anticipation with the steady release of character posters ahead of its trailer debut.

On Monday, the makers unveiled a striking first look of Sanjay Dutt as The Jinn. The poster shows Dutt dressed in white, sporting an intense expression and rugged features that hint at a powerful, enigmatic role. The caption read, “2 Days To Go! #DhurandharTrailer out on 12 Nov at 12:12 PM. Earlier, Arjun Rampal was introduced as The Angel of Death, exuding menace with short hair, a thick beard, dark glasses and a cigar. R. Madhavan, on the other hand, appeared as The Charioteer of Karma, dressed in a sharp grey suit with frameless glasses and a composed demeanour. His sophisticated look made him almost unrecognisable, drawing comparisons to India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
What is the inspiration?
While the plot remains tightly under wraps, Dhurandhar is believed to draw inspiration from real-life Indian intelligence operations and high-stakes espionage missions. According to reports by The Economic Times, the film could take cues from the life of Ajit Doval, weaving together elements of patriotism, strategy and sacrifice.
The trailer releases on November 12 at 12:12 PM, followed by the worldwide theatrical release on December 5, 2025.
