Private investigator Tanya Puri, often called India’s youngest female detective, has opened up about one of Bollywood’s most guarded secrets, a case involving a star couple whose marriage, she says, wasn’t as picture-perfect as it seemed.
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Tanya revealed that a well-known Bollywood actor’s wife had hired her to investigate her husband’s alleged affairs with younger actresses. “I think there are lots of extramarital cases in Bollywood, but people don’t talk about it. They want to show a perfect image,” she said during the podcast.

Puri claimed the couple married in the early 2000s and have two children who are now grown. “In their relationship, the husband very openly cheats, and he is involved with many young actresses. He has done 2–3 films where such cases have come out,” she alleged.
‘Everyone knew, but they kept up appearances’
According to Puri, the actor’s wife was aware of his infidelities but stayed silent for years. “His wife also knows about this, and even their children know about it. The kids are very well aware of what their father does, but in front of the cameras, they are a perfect couple,” she said.
Describing the contrast between the couple’s public image and private reality, Puri added, “The wife is very educated, the husband is a Desi Munda, and they work very well with each other in front of the camera. But behind the scenes, he has slept with a lot of women.”
How the case unfolded?
Speaking about how she was contacted, Puri told Kannan that the case came to her through a manager. “We got the case from one of the managers. The wife gave the manager the right to approach us,” she said.

Her team’s investigation reportedly confirmed the wife’s suspicions. “We investigated the actor and realised he is involved in a lot of places. He would give a lot of things to the actresses as a favour for what they would get back to him,” Puri added.
While Tanya refrained from naming the individuals involved, her revelations have sparked curiosity online about Bollywood’s hidden stories and the quiet endurance of relationships behind fame and glamour.
