October’s streaming calendar is heating up. The platforms are bringing a mix of variety and quality content across genres. The genres range from crime thrillers and powerful social dramas to returning series to your favourite OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Jio Hotstar, etc.

Bhagwat Chapter 1

Bhagwat Chapter 1: Raakshas will be streaming on ZEE5 from October 17. The film cast consists of Arshad Warsi playing the role of Inspector Bhagwat, who is investigating the dreadful disappearances of women in a small town. Jitendra Kumar plays the character of a suspicious suspect whose interaction with the case clouds the boundary between innocence and guilt. The film offers twists, moral obscurity, and a tense atmosphere built around anxiety and suspicion.

Santosh

Santosh will be streaming on Lionsgate Play in India on October 17, after its theatrical release encountered regulatory hurdles. The film is directed by Shahana Goswami. She tells the story of a widow who strides into a male-dominated position as a constable and investigates the rape and murder of a young Dalit teenager. It incorporates personal strength and social commentary. The film pushes boundaries in storytelling and caste discourse.

The Diplomat Season 3

The Diplomat brings back Kate Wyler (Keri Russell) amidst the rough political terrain. It will be streaming on Netflix from October 16. The alliances will be shifting, crises mounting, and personal stakes are higher than ever. The third season is anticipated to delve into international policy, moral settlements, and the significance of power.

Culpa Nuestra

Culpa Nuestra is the concluding chapter of the Spanish Culpables trilogy. It will be streaming from October 16 on Prime Video. The final season brings Nick and Noah reuniting to confront the ghosts of their past and determine whether their story can alter from fault to forgiveness. The romantic tension, emotional hazard, and the outcomes of choices will be awaited.

This week’s OTT releases contemplate streaming’s shifting landscape. The released content depicts the stories that are unafraid to delve into darkness, inequality, grief, and power. It is expected to gravitate to moral obscurities, social realism, or political drama.
