Vash Level 2 was released in the theatres on August 27, 2025. The horror sequel came with bold promises of bigger scale, more haunting visuals and the dreadful aftermath of its predecessor. The audience reaction was mostly positive. The film was praised for its high-voltage atmosphere and horror experience. Several viewers cited that the first half was nail-biting and immersive, particularly the chilling school-girl mass-hypnosis scene, but the second half didn’t retain full momentum.
When evil never really fades
The sequel takes place more than a decade after the circumstances of the original Vash. Atharva is still tormented by what happened to his daughter Aarya. He discovers the malevolent force that he believed vanquished has returned. A group of schoolgirls fall under a soporific spell, and chaos spreads. Atharva must step back into the battle. The fight turns out to be urgent and deeply personal as dark magic reappears with a new puppet-master at work. The film leans heavily into possession, mass terror and the thin line between innocence and evil.
Familiar faces, stronger impact
Janki Bodiwala plays the role of Aarya, whose haunted presence establishes the tone. Hitu Kanodia plays Atharva, who is the father figure attempting to protect what remains of his family. Hiten Kumar plays the role of the sinister adversary. Pratap (and his brother Rajnath) were brilliant in adding gravitas and peril. Monal Gajjar plays the role of the school principal, caught up in the growing nightmare. Their chemistry and conviction heighten the material. Janki’s return adds emotional weight. Hitu grounds the film, and Hiten produces one of his scariest screen turns.
