The wait might finally be over for Indian ARMYs. South Korean supergroup BTS is reportedly gearing up for a global 20-city tour in 2026, and Mumbai could be one of the stops, which will mark it as the group’s first-ever concert in India.

The speculation began after alleged Live Nation touring data surfaced online, suggesting that the band’s comeback tour will feature cities such as Seoul, Tokyo, Bangkok, Los Angeles, London, Paris, São Paulo, and Mumbai. Though HYBE and BIGHIT MUSIC have yet to confirm the schedule, the possibility alone has sent Indian social media into a frenzy, with “BTS in Mumbai” trending widely across X.

‘India on the Map’ for ARMYs

If the rumours are true, the 2026 world tour will be BTS’s first since completing their military service, reuniting Jin, Jungkook, Jimin, J-Hope, RM, Suga, and V on stage. For fans in India, Mumbai’s inclusion is especially meaningful. Despite the country’s massive K-pop following, India has rarely featured on official world tour lists.

Back in 2020, BTS’s Map of the Soul world tour was rumoured to include India before being scrapped due to the pandemic. Since then, fans have campaigned relentlessly for the septet to perform in the country, with several members, including RM and Jungkook, acknowledging their Indian fandom during livestreams.

HYBE’s India push fuels hopes

Adding credibility to the speculation, HYBE, the parent company behind BTS, recently set up its South Asia headquarters in Mumbai, which is a major step to strengthen its cultural and business presence in the region. The expansion has been seen as a sign of deeper engagement with Indian fans and could pave the way for large-scale K-pop events and collaborations in the near future.

As of now, there’s no official word from the band’s management on the 2026 tour dates. But with excitement building across Indian ARMY circles, fans are already preparing their light sticks, just in case the world’s biggest pop act finally brings the Purple Wave to Mumbai.
