The makers of Emily in Paris have unveiled a fresh trailer for Season 5, offering a deeper look at Emily Cooper’s new life in Italy. The Lily Collins-led Netflix series is set to premiere on December 18 as it continues its exploration of Emily’s messy, romantic, and unpredictable world, only this time against the backdrop of Rome and Venice.
The new season picks up after last year’s dramatic finale, with Emily stepping into a major new role and a new city. The trailer highlights her attempts to adapt to Italian culture, navigate a shifting friend circle, and balance career ambitions with complicated matters of the heart.

The trailer opens in Rome, where Emily is taking in the beauty, riding gondolas in Venice, and then settling into her role as the head of Agence Grateau Rome. But this excitement doesn't last very long as a bold work idea unexpectedly backfires, setting off a chain of events affecting her career and personal life.
As per the logline for Season 5, this time, Emily tackles "professional and romantic challenges in a new city" as a major secret has the potential to risk one of her most important relationships. As she struggles to maintain the balance of her relationships, Emily leans more into her French way of life and learns to confront her conflicts with truthfulness, which brings greater closeness and definition of what she really desires.

While the previous teaser focused on Emily’s budding romance with Marcello, played by Eugenio Franceschini, the fresh trailer affirms that her unfinished feelings for chef Gabriel, portrayed by Lucas Bravo.
But a surprising turn of events is a brewing romance between Mindy and Alfie, adding a fresh dynamic throughout the season.
