According to the general notion, after crossing a certain age, actresses are no longer cast in glamorous roles on screen. Tamannaah Bhatia apparently had a similar thought process. In a recent interview, she revealed that her assumption turned out to be incorrect, because even after crossing the 30s, actresses are working in many such roles that were previously given to younger actors.
Tamannaah says, “When I came to the industry, I was young. I thought I would work for 10 years. As soon as I turn 30, I will get married and settle down. I will raise children. But the industry has changed. The nature of work has changed. Now separate characters are being created for middle-aged actresses. Those characters also have significant importance on screen.”
Tamannaah revealed that she entered Bollywood when she was in her 20s. She had mentally made a plan that she would leave the industry once her age increased. Tamannaah also explained the reason behind such thinking. The actress says, “Earlier, only young actresses were cast. Seeing that trend, I thought like that. But while working in the industry, I crossed 30. Now I feel I have much more to give to the industry. Age is no longer a factor now.”
