Actor Rashmika Mandanna turned emotional during the success meet of her latest film The Girlfriend in Hyderabad, expressing heartfelt gratitude to her team and a touching note about Vijay Deverakonda, calling him “a blessing in life.”
During her speech, Rashmika said, “Last but not least, Vijay… Vijju has been a part of this film from the very beginning, and today he’s here at the success meet too. For me, he’s part of this whole journey. I can only hope everyone has a Vijay Deverakonda in their lives, because that’s a blessing.”
Her emotional words left the audience cheering as Vijay, who attended the event as the chief guest, looked visibly proud and moved.
Vijay praises Rashmika’s strength
Vijay responded with words filled with admiration. “I’ve seen Rash evolve over the years. While I tend to be aggressive, she always chooses kindness. The world will see who she truly is one day. The Girlfriend isn’t just a film, it’s a purpose. Rash, I’m proud you’re standing here with a film that gives strength to others,” he said.
Their warmth and understanding were evident throughout the evening, leaving fans thrilled as videos from the event went viral across social media.
Though the couple refrained from directly addressing their engagement rumours, reports suggest that the two are planning a February 2026 wedding. During the event, Vijay was seen gently holding Rashmika’s hand and giving her a light kiss — their first public display of affection since the engagement reports surfaced.

Upcoming projects
Vijay Deverakonda is currently filming Rowdy Janardhan, while Rashmika Mandanna will soon start shooting Cocktail 2. The duo is also rumoured to reunite for director Rahul Sankrityan’s period drama, tentatively titled VD14, marking their third onscreen collaboration after Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade.
