Mehtab Singh started his career in the East Bengal camp’s junior team. The East Bengal club is considered to be the arch-rival of the Mohan Bagan Club. Since the year 2020, the Punjab-born player has been responsible for holding up the defence of Mumbai City FC, which made him one of the most trusted personnel of his arena in the Indian Super League. This year, Mehtab expressed his wish to return to Kolkata, therefore sparking a war between the two legendary clubs to sign him.
