A chilling murder has surfaced in Delhi. On Tuesday, a man stands accused of brutally stabbing his sister-in-law to death in the JJ Colony of Delhi's Khyala area.
According to police sources, the deceased has been identified as Nusrat (39). Nusrat's 20-year-old daughter, Sania, attempted to save her mother. During the altercation, the accused, Istekhar Ahmed alias Bappu, allegedly severed her finger. Reports suggest that Bappu also attacked Nusrat's 42-year-old elder sister-in-law, Akbari, who was present at the scene. Akbari sustained severe injuries in the incident. Alerted by their screams, other family members apprehended Bappu red-handed and handed him over to the police. Both Akbari and Sania are currently undergoing treatment at a hospital. Law enforcement has recovered the murder weapon from the crime scene.
Police sources reveal that Nusrat was employed as a bouncer. Bappu, a resident of Loni in Ghaziabad, works as a security guard. On Tuesday morning, he visited Nusrat's residence, hiding a knife within his tiffin box. The moment Nusrat offered Bappu tea, he allegedly brandished the weapon and launched his attack. Nusrat succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Preliminary investigations have uncovered that Bappu's wife had eloped with another man. Bappu harbored suspicions that his sister-in-law and several relatives had aided his wife's escape. Police theorize that this suspicion may have been the catalyst for Nusrat's murder. It has come to light that Nusrat's husband is currently incarcerated. Nusrat, a mother of four daughters, had taken up work as a bouncer to support her family. Before her career as a bouncer, Nusrat had served as a civil defense volunteer.
Akbari's son, Sonu, disclosed that Bappu was a frequent visitor to their home. On the fateful day, while Nusrat was asleep, Bappu arrived carrying a tiffin box. Upon seeing the container, Nusrat assumed Bappu was heading to work. Tragically, no one had the slightest inkling that the innocuous tiffin box concealed the lethal weapon.
