Protection of women victims in Bengaluru. A young woman was allegedly gang-raped at her home in the capital of Karnataka. It is also alleged that the accused ransacked the house after the gang rape. According to the Bengaluru police, the victim is a resident of West Bengal and lives in Bengaluru for work. The incident took place on Tuesday night at the rural Gangondanahalli area in Bengaluru.

According to media sources, a group of five people breaks into the house after 9 pm on Tuesday. Besides the girl, there are two other adults and two minors in the house. The girl was allegedly gang-raped between 9 pm and 12 am. The police received a call at 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The Bengaluru police reached the spot after receiving the call.
Bengaluru Rural Superintendent of Police, CK Baba, said the accused not only gang-raped but also robbed the victim of ₹25,000 and two mobile phones. According to police sources, the accused are local residents. Police are investigating whether the woman and the accused are known to each other. Police said the girl is out of danger. Bengaluru Rural Superintendent of Police CK Baba said an officer of the rank of deputy superintendent of police has been assigned to investigate the incident. 3 different special teams have been formed. By Wednesday morning, 3 people had been arrested. Police are looking for the other two accused.
