The main accused is identified as Md. Shareef (36), a businessman and owner of Style Maker Saloon, Hyderabad. The police also apprehended seven customers, all from Kurnool, and a hotel receptionist.

Three women, one of them Uzbek, have been rescued from there, as per officials. ₹5,950 in cash, 13 phones, and 12 unused condoms were recovered by police from the location.

Racket under the guise of employment

An official said, “The organiser was running the racket under the guise of providing employment opportunities. Our team acted swiftly based on a tip-off and rescued the victims”, Times of India reported.

After the operation, the arrested persons, the seized items and rescued victims were handed over to the Banjara Hills Police for further investigation. The authorities also informed that action will be taken against the hotel management for providing a place for such illegal activities on its premises.
