The important details of Aadhaar, including name, address, date of birth, and mobile number, can now be updated online without visiting enrollment centres starting from November 2025. The UIDAI is also looking forward to release an upgraded mobile app that will contain a digital Aadhaar featuring QR code functionality. This change will allow users to share a secure and masked version of their Aadhaar card digitally and virtually, which will end the necessity for physical photocopies and strengthen data security.
