Three students from Silchar NIT faced an accident while on a trip. The students fell into a waterfall in Assam's Dima Hasao district while visiting the site. One person has been reported dead in the incident. The other two students are still missing.

Reports suggest that seven students from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Silchar, Assam, had gone for a picnic near Bulsol Falls in Dima Hasao district. One of them suddenly fell into the water. Two others jumped into the water to save him. But they also got swept away. Police and NDRF were immediately informed, followed by a thorough search operation.

Police have reported that after extensive searching, the body of NIT student Sarvakritika has been recovered from the waterfall. The 20-year-old student was a resident of Uttar Pradesh. However, his two classmates, 19-year-old Radhika and 20-year-old Souhardya Roy, are still missing. A search operation to find the students is still ongoing. The Bulsol waterfall, where the students had gone for a picnic on Saturday, is located 55 km from NIT Silchar.
