Garbage packets are dumped at the neighborhood entrance. Vegetable peels, empty sweet boxes, cold drink bottles lying by the roadside. Many people think, no one is watching, lets just throw it and run away. Many others casually spit betel juice and saliva in the middle of the road without any concern. To discipline such people, the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) has now adopted a new approach. They are saying, if you see such scenes, just make a short video. Send it to the designated number. Then action will be taken. At the same time, whoever sends the video will be given Rs 250 as a 'return gift'.

Many people have the tendency to throw chip packets or cold drink bottles on the street after consuming them. Dumping household garbage on the street is part of many people's daily routine. To catch them, GBA has started a special drive. If someone records a video of that moment and shares it, they will be given Rs 250.

Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Limited or BSWML will give them Rs 250. For this, there will be designated WhatsApp numbers and social handles. An app is also being developed. It will be launched this week, according to BSWML sources.

There are strict instructions that if someone throws garbage on the street and gets caught, arrangements will be made to dump that garbage back at their house. They will also have to pay a fine. Now this special initiative has been added to that. The authorities are now taking action with evidence in hand. At the same time, CCTV is being installed for surveillance.
