A young man had crossed a railroad bridge on his way to work or another shortcut. A coconut that a traveler on a moving train had thrown at that precise moment hit him in the eyes and ears. He was taken in critical condition to the hospital, but he was not able to be saved. The youth's injuries caused him to pass away. In Palghar district of Maharashtra, this tragic event took place. It has been determined that the deceased was Sanjay Dattaram Bhoir.
Due to inclement weather in Maharashtra, ferry services were suspended at multiple locations. Consequently, Sanjay was taking a shortcut across the railway bridge to reach his office. At that moment, a local train passenger callously threw a coconut from the moving car. With devastating force, the projectile struck the 31-year-old man's eyes and ears. He was taken quickly to a private hospital in the area. However, his physical condition quickly deteriorated due to the severe injuries to his eyes and ears. After that, he was moved to Mumbai's JJ Hospital. The young man passed away there while receiving medical attention.
Sanjay's family is shell-shocked by this incident. The state is currently observing Navaratri. His family members have been reduced to tears, having lost their son during this festive period. The identity of the person who threw the coconut remains unknown. Preliminary investigations suggest that the coconut was discarded as part of a religious ritual. Railway sources have indicated that a comprehensive inquiry into the entire incident will be conducted. It is worth noting that, according to regulations, carrying coconuts on trains is strictly prohibited. Violators may face hefty fines if caught. Railway authorities explain that this decision was made to prevent potential injuries from heavy objects like coconuts.
