A young woman has accused a BJP MLA from Himachal Pradesh of molestation. The allegation is that BJP MLA Hans Raj from Churah in Himachal Pradesh's Chamba district molested her when she was a minor.
According to police sources, the young woman made the allegation against the MLA in a Facebook live session last week. Following this, the 20-year-old woman filed a complaint at the Chamba women's police station last Friday. She alleges that the MLA molested her when she was young. Based on the young woman's complaint, police have filed a case under the POCSO Act.

The young woman posted a seven-minute video on Facebook where she also made her allegation. Police said the young woman's confidential statement has also been recorded before a magistrate. The young woman's father said that after filing the complaint at the police station, the MLA and his followers came and vandalised the young woman's house. They broke their mobile phones and even threatened to kill them if the complaint was not withdrawn.
After the incident, MLA Hans Raj said in a video message that this allegation is completely false. A political conspiracy is being hatched against him. However, this is not the first time – the young woman had earlier also accused the MLA of harassment through phone calls and demanding objectionable photos. Though that complaint was later withdrawn by the family.
