Chirag Paswan has recently expressed dissatisfaction over the number of seats offered, but insisted the discussion remains “positive.” After a high-stakes meeting between the BJP and the LJP at Paswan’s residence, Union Minister Nityanand Rai and Paswan met the media. "Everything is positive," Rai said, adding that Paswan will share details in time, according to a PTI report. Paswan echoed that the discussions were moving well. However, he did not reveal seat numbers or any other crucial election details.

Rai meets BJP poll in-charge, talks continue till late night

Later, Rai met Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who is the current BJP’s poll in-charge for Bihar, and the three leaders continued deliberations late into the night over the seat-sharing formula. Sources say senior BJP leaders from Bihar may soon travel to Delhi to finalize names before a Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting expected in the next few days, according to a PTI report.

The 243-seat Bihar Assembly polls are scheduled in two phases, on November 6 and 11. BJP allies such as LJP (RV), Janata Dal (United), HAM, and former minister Upendra Kushwaha are all pressing for favorable allocations, with Paswan and Jitan Ram Manjhi particularly pushing hard on not only seat numbers but specific constituencies.
