Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated his 75th birthday on Wednesday in the Dhar district, where he spoke to a huge crowd while inaugurating the nation's first Pradhan Mantri Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park. India is no longer a country that bows to nuclear blackmail, PM Modi said in his speech. Instead, the country has the capability to "enter the enemy's home and strike," he asserted.
He recalled that Pakistani soldiers had taken India "to its knees in the blink of an eye" in counter-terror operations. In connection to Operation Sindoor, PM Modi stated, "There was a time when terrorists from Pakistan tried to destroy the dignity of our mothers and sisters. In response, through Operation Sindoor, we destroyed their terror bases. Our brave soldiers brought Pakistan to its knees in the blink of an eye."
India's determination against terrorism and nuclear blackmail
PM Modi highlighted that the new India is fearless. Referring to one recent incident, the nation had witnessed "a Pakistani terrorist break down in tears, admitting his condition," highlighting that the country does not quake in fear at nuclear threats. "This is the new India. This is an India that does not fear anyone's nuclear threats. This is an India that enters the enemy's home and strikes," Modi asserted.
Recalling Hyderabad liberation and throwing self-reliance
Modi further associated his birthday with another landmark event which is Hyderabad Liberation Day and said that it was a day when Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's determination and bravery of the Indian Army liberated Hyderabad from brutality. "Such a great achievement went unremembered for decades. But our government has made sure these events are immortalised," he added.
Turning to the present, Modi asked citizens to support Atmanirbhar Bharat. He appealed to consumers and traders alike: "Whatever you buy should carry the sweat and hard work of an Indian. The path to a developed India by 2047 lies through self-reliance.”
The Prime Minister's address, on a day of personal milestone and historic remembrance, was marked by stinging warnings to foes coupled with a call for national pride and economic power.
