West Bengal is now buzzing over the internet. Why? Because, on Thursday afternoon, the official X handle of the TMC took a jab at Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The post is written in terse but with an indisputably teasy tone.

“In a world where interviews exist, one man chose NONE. Guinness calls it ‘Performance Art,’” TMC posted on their official X handle, while attaching a look-alike version of the Guinness World Record certificate, which notes, “Narendra Modi has been awarded for 0 press conferences as Prime Minister of Indian in 11 years.”

Not long after, the BJP’s Bengal unit fired back with its own post, directed at Mamata Banerjee and her government in the state.

“Liar No. 1 lies every time she utters a word. This time, she lied about Padma Shri awardee Bula Chowdhury. At this rate, she’ll set a Guinness World Record for lying — or maybe she already has!!” BJP replied, while adding the similar Guinness World Record certificate, which notes, “Mamata Banerjee has been awarded for lying.”

Netizens can’t keep themselves calm

Following, the BJP’s post, netizens flocked in commenting, “bandar kya jaane adrak ka swad ????????????”, while another apparent TMC-leaning X user wrote, “Biggest lier of all time ????” along with an AI-generated image featuring PM Modi.

“If 'Mamata Banerjee’ a Liar ???? then how about 'Rashtriya Chor'?” another wrote.
