Amidst the ongoing relentless downpour in Kolkata and its surrounding areas, which has left the city's transportation system paralyzed, it has also affected air travel severely.

Many flights have been delayed or canceled since last night. As the city's biggest festival of the year, Durga Puja is just around the corner; as a result, people from various parts of the country are flying to the city.

The ongoing weather is posing a challenge in front of all the travellers' plans to celebrate the festival in the city. Keeping all of this in mind, Air India has announced a travel advisory for its customers.

In their travel advisory posted on X (formerly Twitter), the airline has cautioned that Kolkata-bound flights or flights scheduled to leave from Kolkata might be impacted due to the continuous heavy rain.

Air India has also urged its passengers to check their flight status before leaving for the airport and be mindful of the time they may require to reach there, as it might be affected due to the waterlogging and traffic caused by the severe weather.

Air India has also shared the direct link to their official website for checking the flight status.
