IndiGo is all set to introduce a new direct flight between Delhi and Guangzhou from November 10, 2025. The decision follows the airline's recent inauguration of the Kolkata-Guangzhou route on October 26, adding another feather in fostering air connectivity between India and China amid efforts to deepen trade and cultural ties.
According to a report by the Indian Express, IndiGo, in a release, said, “The flights on this route will be operated on IndiGo’s A320 aircraft, offering a convenient and comfortable flying experience.”

Daily non-stop services interlink the capital cities
As per the Indian Express report, the Delhi–Guangzhou flight (6E 1701) will depart from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, Terminal 3, at 9:45 PM, reaching Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 4:50 AM local time. The return flight, 6E 1702, will also operate daily, ensuring seamless two-way connectivity between the two major cities.
In all, the travel duration from Delhi to Guangzhou will be about 4 hours and 35 minutes, thus providing passengers with a non-stop flying option instead of the connecting routes through Southeast Asian hubs.
Fares and booking details
Tickets for the Delhi–Guangzhou flight cost ₹19,606 (Economy class) on IndiGo’s official website, as of November 1, 2025. Of course, fares are always subject to fluctuation depending on demand and booking timelines.
Operating this new connection further fortifies IndiGo's ever-expanding international network into East Asia and provides more options for travellers seeking direct access to China, the Indian Express reports.
Boost to bilateral and economic ties
Direct flights are being launched in addition to the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping in August 2025, when both leaders reiterated the need for improvement in people-to-people connectivity through enhanced air links and visa facilitation.
