Air India shared an important update regarding the Milan to Delhi flight for stranded passengers. Air India will operate a special flight from Milan to Delhi on Sunday, October 19, to bring back those passengers in Milan, after the airline had cancelled their flight on Friday following a technical issue with the Dreamliner aircraft.
Air India shared an update on Instagram that, “Air India will operate an additional flight from Milan to Delhi today to accommodate passengers of flight AI138, which was cancelled on 17 October due to a technical issue. Flight AI138D will depart from Milan at 1900 hrs (local time) and arrive in Delhi on the morning of 20 October.”
More than 250 passengers were stranded at Milan after the flight cancellation on Friday. Posts were flooding on social media complaining about the lack of adequate facilities for the passengers.
The update added, “Air India has extended all immediate assistance to affected passengers, including hotel accommodation and meals. Full refunds or complimentary rescheduling were also offered as per passenger preference.”
The airline on Sunday said it will operate a flight from Milan to Delhi today to accommodate passengers of flight AI138, which was cancelled on October 17 due to a technical issue.
The airline also said its teams are proactively reaching out to the affected passengers, who were previously rebooked on other airlines with post-Diwali arrivals, offering them the option to maintain their existing bookings or switch to the additional flight operating today.
