An LPG cylinder blast on Thursday evening in Pagla Bhari village, under Pura Kalandar police station, destroyed a two-storey house. Officials confirmed five fatalities, which include three children and two adults.

Medical officers said all five were brought to the Ayodhya District Hospital, but none survived. Rescue teams are still searching for others who may be trapped under the rubble. Dr Ashish Pathak, Emergency Medical Officer, District Hospital, Ayodhya, stated that 5 people were taken there with burn injuries. "All were brought dead," he said, as reported by ANI.

Senior officials, including the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, have taken cognizance of the incident and ordered immediate relief and rescue operations.

According to a ToI report, authorities have recovered fragments of a gas cylinder and pressure cooker parts at the site, leading to speculation that the explosion may have been triggered by a domestic gas leak or mishandling.

Police and forensic teams are examining the site and collecting evidence to confirm the exact cause. Nearby houses have been evacuated as a precaution, and heavy machinery has been deployed to clear the debris, according to The Tribune.
