Reports of Vrindavan's revered saint Premanand Ji Maharaj's ill health have gone viral on social media. A video of the spiritual guru with a puffy face raised speculations from his followers regarding his health.

In order to address the increasing rumors, Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj Parikar, Shridham Vrindavan, made a formal announcement that Premanand Maharaj is stable and carrying out his daily routine, although his morning strolls at dawn have been indefinitely suspended. The administration also requested devotees not to spread unsubstantiated information about his health.

'Both kidneys have failed': Maharaj speaks on his health

Premanand Ji Maharaj himself discussed the issue in an interview with YouTuber Elvish Yadav, stating, "Dono kidney fail hai, theek kya hona hai, ab to jaana hai. Ab theek hone ko kuch nahi bacha."

ABP Live states that the saint is having full-day dialysis. Though numerous devotees have offered to donate their kidneys, Maharaj has allegedly turned them down, citing he would not wish for anyone to suffer on his behalf.

Born as Anirudh Kumar Pandey in Kanpur's Sarsaul block, Maharaj quit home at 13 to lead the life of a sanyasi, as his grandfather had done before him. Gradually, he turned out to be among the most respected figures in Radhavallabhi Sampradaya, inspiring millions of followers across India and the world.

Prayers flow in from far and wide

In a beautiful act of interfaith unity, a Muslim follower named Sufiyan Allahabadi posted a video from Madina, wishing the recovery of the saint. Standing in front of the holy mosque, he recited, "O Allah, make India's great saint Premanand Maharaj healthy soon." The gesture has been widely appreciated for symbolising unity beyond religion.

Notable personalities like Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma, Hema Malini, the Great Khali and Mohan Bhagwat have also met Maharaj in Vrindavan to offer prayers.

Though his health is still delicate, ashram officials have reiterated that Maharaj is under medical care and is stable. Believers are still praying following a common motto that faith wins over fear.
