Bihar Election 2025 vote counting is underway. Now the biggest question among the 243 assembly natives is who will lead the Bihar Government for the upcoming term?
Let's take a look at what India's leading political analysts think about this 2025 Bihar election and who will head the government for the next five years.
During a recent interview with DecanHerald, a glimpse of 'what could be expected this election' has been analysed by Sarthak Bagchi, an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Ahmedabad University and a renowned political analyst, with in-depth knowledge about the political scenario in Bihar.

During the discussion, Bagchi referred to this point in Bihar's political history as a culmination of the political leadership of a generation that will be passing the baton to the upcoming generation, who are watching and learning from these current leaders.
Nitish Kumar is an X-factor in this election
While discussing Nitish Kumar's role in the 2025 Bihar Election, Bagchi stated that a month ago, he would not have predicted that Nitish Kumar would play a significant role in this election. Bagchi blamed the narrative that has been set about Nitish Kumar, surrounding his health condition and everything else, making it seem like Kumar is losing credibility in the Bihar political field.

However, Nitish Kumar's credibility and image are much more impactful than what is commonly understood. "In this election, Nitish Kumar is going to be the Key factor. He is going to be the X-factor, and in a sense, he is going to be the silent factor," Bagchi said.
He also pointed out that Nitish Kumar's role in this term is going to be led by the “silent solidarity and silent support.” He stated that if Nitish Kumar's party does better than his allies or rivals, that will be surprising and interesting, as Nitish is not facing any “anti-incumbency” during his regime.
