The IPL 2026 playoffs schedule has been officially confirmed, with the tournament now heading towards an exciting conclusion. Four teams have booked their places in the knockout stage, while fans are eagerly waiting to see who will lift the trophy this season. The playoff matches will be played across Dharamshala, New Chandigarh and Ahmedabad.
Dharamshala to host Qualifier 1
Qualifier 1 will be played on May 26 in Dharamshala. The top two teams in the points table will face each other in this match, with the winner earning a direct place in the IPL 2026 final. The losing side will still get another opportunity to qualify through Qualifier 2.

The Eliminator is scheduled for May 27 in New Chandigarh. The teams finishing third and fourth in the standings will meet in this knockout clash. The losing side will be eliminated from the competition, while the winner will move ahead to Qualifier 2.
Ahmedabad gets final hosting rights
Qualifier 2 will take place on May 29 in New Chandigarh. The loser of Qualifier 1 will face the winner of the Eliminator for second place in the final. All playoff matches are expected to begin at 7:30 PM IST.

The IPL 2026 final will be played on May 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The venue, known as one of the largest cricket stadiums in the world, is expected to witness a packed crowd for the title clash.
Reports also stated that Bengaluru was initially considered to host the final. However, logistical and operational reasons led to Ahmedabad receiving the hosting rights for the summit clash.
